Unlinked passenger trip

An unlinked passenger trip is a single boarding of any transit vehicle. Thus, unlinked passenger trips for any transit system is the number of passengers boarding public transportation vehicles. A passenger is counted each time he/she boards a vehicle even if the boarding is part of the same journey from origin to destination.
